As all mothers know, there is great peace found in the silence after kids have gone to bed. I was relishing in it the other night and thought that maybe I should make a record of it. So, here is what peace and quiet look like after a full day of activity.

My little helper
Jesse has decided that he really loves to help in the kitchen. He helped me make a "dirt dessert " for young women's last week and he had so much fun! I even let him lick the beaters. Now he wants to help every time I start cooking something.
Rag curls... when I was little, my Grandma Evelyn used to put rag curls in my hair. We had school pictures last week, so I put rag curls in Elle's hair. We also had a couple of extra kids for a few days, so they got some extra curls too. I must add how much fun it was to have a couple of extra girls last week. They were so good and I think my kids were better with some friends around. Why doesn't more kids equal more chaos? We often remark that sometimes it feels like we are "herding cats" with our kids. Having them be just a tad older seems to make a big difference. Here's to having something great to look forward to. Don't get me wrong, we love this stage of life. Its soooooo fun!!

Sooooooo Yummy
We had the most delicious and super-simple dinner last night!! Jarin picked up the fresh express Mediterranean salad bag and I added extra feta, BBQ baked chicken (leftovers) and sliced up some canned mangoes. It was so delicious!! The kids even ate it with minimal complaints.

Some of our other favorites include:
Asian supreme
BLT Ceasar
Salsa Ensalada Supreme
Pacifica is ok, but not as good as the others.

Happy Valentines Day!!
I hope you all have a wonderful and loving St. Valentines Day today.! I stumbled into the kitchen, half asleep, and made some heart shaped pancakes with sprinkles for breakfast. I think my kids were shocked that I didn't chuck a banana and a granola bar at them on their way out the door.
Jarin and I are getting a date night tonight. Dinner and a movie, what else? I guess the older we get, the less creative we get about stuff like that. Jarin also had some beautiful lillies delivered. They're not totally open yet, so I can enjoy them for a while!

Elle is back
She says we can start calling her Elle again. I'm not sure how well that will go since EVERYONE here knows her as Eleanor now. But I'm just happy she has agreed to let us call her Elle again. Hooray!!
